Companionway Hatch for Sea Jewel
I love the light and hate the cold. This hatch cover design, (Sailrite video), is the perfect answer. The binding strengthens the flap on the outside and the velcro used to lock it down work together brilliantly. Roll it up and snap it to the top with the binding strap. Snaps around the outside in the same location as the previous cover made it easy to install. It's been on my Cal 2-34 for 5 years and shows no sign of wear. Of course what followed was a complete overhaul of the companionway hatch itself.
